Buying Pallets
What grades of pallets do you offer?
We offer three grades of used pallets: Grade A (premium, like-new condition), Grade B (standard, good structural integrity with visible wear), and Grade C (economy, functional with significant wear). We also offer new pallets built to specification.
What sizes do you have in stock?
We stock the most common sizes including 48"x40" (GMA standard), 42"x42", 48"x48", 36"x36", and more. We can also source or build custom sizes to your specifications. Our most popular size is the 48"x40" GMA pallet which we always keep in large quantities.
What is your minimum order quantity?
There is no minimum order for pickup orders. For delivery, we recommend a minimum of 50 pallets to optimize shipping costs, but we can accommodate smaller orders. We work with businesses of all sizes - from small operations needing 20 pallets to large warehouses requiring thousands.
Do you offer heat-treated pallets for export?
Yes, we offer ISPM 15 compliant heat-treated pallets suitable for international shipping. These pallets are heated to 56°C (133°F) at the core for 30+ minutes to meet phytosanitary standards. Each pallet is stamped with the official IPPC marking for customs clearance.
How do I know which grade is right for me?
It depends on your application. Grade A is best for retail display, export, food/beverage, and pharmaceutical applications. Grade B is ideal for warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing. Grade C works great for one-way shipping, internal transfers, and budget-conscious projects. Contact us for personalized recommendations based on your specific needs.
What is the difference between block and stringer pallets?
Stringer pallets use 2-3 parallel wood boards (stringers) to support the deck, offering 2-way forklift entry. Block pallets use solid wood blocks at corners and center, allowing 4-way forklift entry from any direction. Block pallets are generally stronger but cost more. GMA pallets are typically stringer-style.
Can you supply pallets for food and pharmaceutical industries?
Yes, we have Grade A pallets suitable for food and pharmaceutical applications. These pallets are clean, free of debris, and can be heat-treated if required. We can also source HDPE plastic pallets for the strictest hygiene requirements.
What is the typical weight capacity of your pallets?
Standard GMA pallets (48"x40") have a dynamic load capacity of 2,500-3,000 lbs (when lifted) and a static load capacity of 5,000-7,500 lbs (when stationary). Racking loads are typically 2,000-2,500 lbs. Heavy-duty pallets can handle 5,000+ lbs dynamic. We can recommend the right pallet for your specific load requirements.
Do you sell new pallets?
Yes, we can build new pallets to your exact specifications. While most customers find our Grade A used pallets meet their needs at a lower cost, we understand some applications require new pallets. New pallets typically take 3-5 business days for standard sizes and 7-10 days for custom builds.
Can I see samples before ordering a large quantity?
Absolutely! We encourage customers to visit our facility to see our inventory and grading process firsthand. We can also deliver a small sample batch for your team to evaluate before committing to a larger order.
Selling Pallets
Do you buy used pallets?
Yes! We buy used pallets in any condition - from Grade A quality to broken pallets suitable only for recycling. We offer competitive pricing based on the quantity, size, and condition of your pallets. This is a great way to clear out excess inventory and generate revenue.
What types of pallets do you buy?
We buy standard wood pallets of all sizes and conditions, including 48x40 GMA, 42x42, 48x48, and specialty sizes. We also accept damaged and broken pallets for our recycling program. We do not currently buy plastic, metal, or pressed wood pallets.
How do I sell my pallets?
Simply contact us with the quantity and approximate condition of your pallets. You can submit this information through our website, email us, or send photos. We'll provide a quote within 24 hours and can schedule a pickup at your convenience. The entire process is quick and hassle-free.
Do you offer pickup service?
Yes, we offer free pickup for quantities of 100+ pallets within our Charlotte metro service area. For smaller quantities or locations outside our primary service area, we may charge a nominal pickup fee. We also welcome drop-offs at our facility for any quantity.
How quickly will I get paid?
We process payments quickly - typically within 5-7 business days after pickup and inspection. For established customers with regular pallet sales, we can arrange net-15 or net-30 terms. Large quantity sellers may qualify for same-day payment.
How much are used pallets worth?
Pallet values vary based on size, condition, and current market demand. Standard 48x40 pallets typically range from $2-8 depending on grade. Premium sizes and conditions fetch higher prices. Contact us with your inventory details for an accurate quote - prices fluctuate with market conditions.
Can you set up a recurring pickup program?
Yes! Many of our customers have us on a regular pickup schedule - weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on their volume. We can provide containers or gaylord boxes to collect pallets, making it easy for your staff. This ensures you always have space and consistently monetize your excess pallets.
What if my pallets are damaged or broken?
We buy pallets in any condition. Damaged pallets still have value - either for repair and resale, or for recycling into mulch and biomass. While broken pallets fetch lower prices than intact ones, we'll make you an offer rather than having you pay for disposal.
Services
Do you offer pallet repair services?
Yes, our expert team can repair damaged pallets including board replacement, stringer repair, nail/fastener replacement, and full refurbishment. Repair typically costs 30-50% less than buying new pallets and extends pallet life by 3-5 additional use cycles. We can repair pallets at our facility or provide on-site repair for large quantities.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the Charlotte metro area and surrounding regions within approximately 100 miles, including cities in North Carolina (Gastonia, Concord, Kannapolis, Salisbury, Statesville, Mooresville, Hickory, Monroe) and South Carolina (Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Lancaster, York, Chester). Contact us if you're outside this area - we can often arrange service.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes, we offer delivery throughout our service area. Delivery fees are based on distance and quantity. Orders over 200 pallets within Charlotte metro often qualify for free delivery. Same-day or next-day delivery is available for urgent needs. Our trucks are equipped with liftgates and forklifts for easy unloading.
Can you handle recurring pallet needs?
Absolutely! We offer scheduled pickup and delivery programs for businesses with ongoing pallet needs. This includes regular supply of pallets, pickup of used/damaged units, and even pallet management consulting. Many customers find this reduces their logistics burden and ensures they never run short on pallets.
What is your recycling program?
We accept end-of-life pallets and process them responsibly. Pallets are either repaired for reuse, dismantled for lumber recovery, or recycled into mulch, animal bedding, or biomass fuel. Nothing goes to landfill - we have a zero-waste policy. We can provide certificates of recycling for your sustainability reporting.
Do you offer pallet management services?
Yes, we offer comprehensive pallet management for businesses that want to outsource this function. This includes inventory tracking, scheduled deliveries, used pallet pickup, repair programs, and reporting. Many companies find this more cost-effective than managing pallets in-house.
Can you build custom pallets?
Yes, we build custom pallets to your exact specifications. Whether you need an unusual size, specific wood type, extra reinforcement, or special features like runners or collar attachment points, we can manufacture it. Lead times are typically 5-10 business days depending on complexity.
What is your turnaround time for orders?
Stock items (standard sizes in common grades) are typically available for same-day pickup or next-day delivery. Custom orders, heat treatment, and specialty sizes usually take 3-7 business days. Rush service is available for urgent needs - just let us know your timeline.
Pricing & Payment
How is pricing determined?
Pricing depends on several factors: pallet grade (A, B, or C), size (standard vs. specialty), quantity, heat treatment requirements, and delivery needs. We offer competitive market rates and are happy to provide a detailed quote. Prices may fluctuate with lumber market conditions.
Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes, we offer significant discounts for bulk orders. Typical discount tiers: 5% off for 100+ pallets, 10% off for 500+ pallets, and 15%+ off for 1,000+ pallets. Annual contracts for regular supply can lock in even better pricing. Contact us for a custom quote based on your volume needs.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept company checks, ACH bank transfers, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and cash. Credit card payments may incur a small processing fee. For qualified business accounts, we offer net-15 and net-30 payment terms.
Do you require deposits?
For new customers, we typically require payment upfront or a 50% deposit for orders over $1,000. Once you establish an account history with us (usually 3+ orders), you can qualify for credit terms. Custom pallet orders always require a 50% deposit.
How do I open a credit account?
Business credit accounts are available for customers with regular ordering needs. Complete our credit application with your business information and trade references. Approval typically takes 2-3 business days. Credit limits start at $2,500 and can increase based on payment history.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees - ever. Your quote includes the pallet price and any applicable delivery charges. We'll always disclose the total cost upfront before you commit. The only additional charges would be for services you specifically request, like rush delivery or special handling.
What is the average price for pallets?
Used pallet prices vary by grade: Grade A typically $8-15, Grade B $5-9, Grade C $3-6. Standard 48x40 sizes are at the lower end of these ranges, while specialty sizes cost more. New pallets start around $15-25 depending on specifications. These are approximate ranges - contact us for current pricing.
Quality & Compliance
How do you grade your pallets?
We follow industry-standard grading criteria with personal inspection of every pallet. Grade A: Like-new appearance, no repairs, all boards intact, clean. Grade B: Good structure, visible wear, minor repairs acceptable, fully functional. Grade C: Significant wear, multiple repairs possible, functional but cosmetically poor. We're happy to show you our grading process at our facility.
Are your pallets ISPM 15 compliant?
We offer ISPM 15 compliant heat-treated pallets for international shipping. These pallets are processed in USDA-certified heat treatment chambers and marked with the official IPPC stamp indicating the treatment facility code, country, and HT (heat treatment) designation. Required for export to most countries.
What if I receive damaged or incorrect pallets?
Customer satisfaction is our priority. If there are any issues with your order, contact us within 48 hours and we'll make it right. Options include replacement pallets, a credit on your account, or a refund for the affected items. We take quality complaints seriously and investigate each one to prevent recurrence.
Do you inspect pallets before delivery?
Yes, all pallets are inspected and sorted by grade before leaving our facility. Our team checks for structural integrity, protruding nails, broken boards, and cleanliness. Each load is verified against your order. We stand behind the quality of our products with a satisfaction guarantee.
Do you have quality certifications?
We are a licensed heat treatment facility certified by the USDA under ISPM 15 guidelines. We follow National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA) standards for pallet grading. Our processes are documented and auditable for customers requiring supplier qualification.
Are your pallets safe for food contact?
Grade A pallets are suitable for indirect food contact applications. For direct food contact, we recommend food-grade plastic pallets which we can source. Heat-treated pallets meet FDA requirements for food safety. We can provide documentation for your food safety compliance needs.
What sustainability certifications do you have?
We are committed to sustainability through our comprehensive recycling program. While we don't have a specific sustainability certification, we can provide documentation of our recycling practices, waste diversion rates, and environmental impact for your ESG reporting needs.

How far in advance do I need to schedule delivery?
